APPELLATION:

Petite in nothing but price, this appellation differs from the Chablis appellation in only geology and altitude. The vines are planted either in several communes surrounding Chablis, or at upper elevations on the same slopes as Chablis Crus.
 

TASTING NOTES:

This Petit Chablis features a grand bouquet that evokes a variety of orchard fruits. Baskets of just-picked apples, peaches and apricots spill forth onto the palate in waves of succession. Lush, forward and generous, this is a perfect weeknight wine, a bottle to open for friends, to celebrate the warming temperatures of spring just on the horizon. Yet, there is a serious side as well, with the nervy acidity and long finish that is undoubtedly Chablisienne. The exuberant nature of this wine is best harnessed with early consumption.
